Five Yemenis killed in Houthi shelling attack on Taiz
At least five people were killed and 12 others wounded when a shelling attack targeted a residential area Taiz governorate, southwest Yemen, on Sunday evening.
A large-caliber projectile, fired by the Houthi militias, fell on a home in Maqbanah district, west Taiz, resulting in “this horrible massacre,” said Minister of Information Moamar al-Eryani.
In press statement, the minister said, “This heinous crime is a ring of chain of barbaric atrocities practiced against the civilians in the besieged Taiz on a daily basis.” He noted that thousands of civilians, including women and children, fell victims to the attacks of the Houthi militias “in blessed silence” from the international community.
