Gaza: Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured by Israeli gunfire while seeking aid in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Nasser Medical Complex reported that at least five people were killed and several others injured after being directly shot by Israeli occupation forces near the US aid center north of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The incident adds to the growing violence in the region, with multiple casualties reported after an Israeli drone struck a tent for displaced persons in the Bir 19 area, west of Khan Yunis, also in the southern Gaza Strip.
Earlier in the day, six Palestinians, including a child, lost their lives when Israeli occupation forces targeted a gathering of civilians near the aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of the Wadi Gaza area in central Gaza Strip.
The overall death toll among people seeking aid and subsequently admitted to hospitals has increased to 1,743, with 12,590 individuals reported injured in the ongoing conflict.
