Five Killed in Israeli Airstrike as Gaza’s Death Toll Surges to 50,082

Gaza City: Five citizens were killed and 13 others were injured on Monday when the Israeli occupation forces bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the central Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that the occupation forces bombed a tent housing displaced persons at Al-Razi School in the Nuseirat Camp 2 area in the central Gaza Strip, leading to the tragic deaths and injuries. The victims were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital for treatment.

Last Tuesday morning, the occupation forces resumed their war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, which by Thursday evening had resulted in the killing of approximately 600 citizens and the injury of more than 1,000 others, with 70% of these casualties being children, women, and the elderly.

The Israeli occupation forces have perpetrated multiple massacres against families in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, which have led to the deaths of at least 61 Palestinians and injuries to 134 others, as documented in medical reports. Local health authorities have confirmed that since October 7, 2023, the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught has reached 50,082, with an additional 113,408 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

According to the same sources, emergency services remain unable to reach many casualties and deceased individuals who are trapped under rubble or scattered on roads throughout the war-torn enclave. This is due to the ongoing targeting of ambulance and civil defense crews by the Israeli occupation forces.

Despite calls from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israel's aggressive campaign continues unabated.
