Firefighter injured while rescuing children from blaze in Madaba residence

A firefighter sustained injuries while saving three children from a house fire in Madaba Governorate early Tuesday. The incident unfolded when the firefighter provided his own oxygen mask to one of the trapped children, exacerbating his own breathing difficulties. The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) reported that an early morning emergency call alerted authorities to a residential apartment fire in Madaba. Swiftly, firefighting and rescue teams were dispatched to the location, and their response time was commendably brief, with just six minutes elapsed from the initial report. Upon their arrival, it became apparent that three children were still inside the burning apartment, and were successfully evacuated from the perilous situation. The young occupants suffered only minor breathing difficulties, and they were immediately transferred to a hospital for further assessment. The injured firefighter also received prompt medical attention and was reported to be in stable condition.
