HE President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain met in Paris with President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Gianni Infantino on the sidelines of the football competition at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. During the meeting, they discussed topics of common concern that contribute to enhancing the cooperation between the two sides. The FIFA President praised the State of Qatar's achievements in sports, especially the dazzling success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Qatar's winning of the 2023 Asian Cup title, Qatar's winning bid to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup after the FIFA Council awarded the State of Qatar in March to hold the tournament for five consecutive editions. Infantino also stressed the depth of the close relationship between FIFA and the QFA and the importance of continuing the joint and close work between the two sides in a way that benefits them both positively. For his part, HE President of QFA Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain e mphasized the depth of the close and solid relationship with FIFA, stressing that he looks forward to working together with FIFA in organizing the FIFA U-17 World Cup from 2025 to 2029, which confirms that the State of Qatar is capable of hosting all football events following its success in organizing various major events, especially the 2022 World Cup.
