Brussels: The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, called on the international community, especially the European Union, not to undermine the International Criminal Court. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Borrell emphasized in press statements today that supporting the International Criminal Court and strengthening its decisions is the only way to achieve justice in the world. He stressed the importance of maintaining the court's integrity and authority as a critical institution for upholding international law and delivering justice. Borrell also criticized the current Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing it of trampling on international law and violating international humanitarian law. He described the situation in Gaza as a flagrant violation of human rights and underscored the urgent need for a ceasefire as an initial step towards a broader political solution. Borrell reiterated the nec essity of achieving peace through a two-state solution, urging international cooperation to address the ongoing conflict.
