Amman: The European Union's foreign affairs chief, Josep Borrell, said on Wednesday that he has formally invited Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz to a meeting to discuss relations in light of the war in Gaza. According to AFP, the 27 EU countries agreed last week to invite Katz to a special meeting under an agreement between the two sides linking rights to trade relations. Borrell said he wanted to press Israel on the catastrophic situation in Gaza, its respect for human rights and a ruling by the International Court of Justice. Source: Jordan News Agency
