The European Union Commission in Jordan, in collaboration with the embassies of several EU member states and European cultural institutes, celebrated the European Day of Languages on Thursday at the Haya Cultural Center. The event, which attracted more than 1,000 participants, included students from public and private schools in Amman and nearby governorates, as well as families interested in Europe's linguistic diversity. The celebration featured a wide range of activities, including creative workshops on robotics, virtual trips, language games, dance sessions, and interactive language lessons. A special concert highlighted European languages through music. Additionally, attendees engaged in an educational treasure hunt and explored art exhibitions that showcased the cultural heritage of the participating countries. EU Ambassador to Jordan, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, emphasized the importance of language acquisition in fostering cultural dialogue and enhancing economic relations between Jordan and th e European Union.
