Elderly Man Killed by Israeli Forces in Jenin Refugee Camp

Jenin: An elderly Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces this morning in the Jenin refugee camp, according to local and medical sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its emergency teams transported the body of 73-year-old Walid Lahlouh from the entrance of the camp to the hospital following the deadly shooting by Israeli soldiers.

This incident brings the total number of Palestinians killed since the start of the wide-scale Israeli onslaught on Jenin to 25, as the offensive began 13 days ago. Simultaneously, Israeli forces continue to reinforce their military presence in Jenin city and its refugee camp, with additional troops arriving from multiple directions. The demolition of homes in parts of the camp also remains ongoing.

In addition, around 100 homes in the refugee camp have been completely destroyed, and local hospitals are facing severe water shortages after Israeli forces targeted and damaged water lines. Nearly 35% of the city’s population is currently without access to water.
