Egypt and France Reject Palestinian Displacement Calls Amid Gaza Conflict

Gaza City: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron have jointly emphasized the need for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip while firmly rejecting proposals to displace Palestinians from their territories. This stance was articulated during a press conference held at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, President el-Sisi and President Macron discussed the broader regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the challenging situation in Gaza. El-Sisi underscored that peace in the Middle East hinges on resolving the Palestinian issue, stressing the necessity of creating a political pathway to address this long-standing conflict. El-Sisi highlighted that both leaders agreed on the urgency of reinstating a ceasefire, facilitating humanitarian aid, and ensuring the release of hostages. He also outlined the Arab plan for Gaza's recovery and reconstruction, with Egypt planning to host a Gaza Reconstruction Co nference post-conflict, indicating a commitment to collaborative efforts with France.
