Dozens Suffocate in Israeli Army Raid in Southern West Bank Camp

Hebron: Dozens of Palestinians suffocated during an Israeli army raid in the al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, on Monday evening.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the occupying forces entered the refugee camp and fired live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets, and bombs at civilians' houses. This resulted in dozens of civilians suffering from excessive tear gas inhalation. All affected individuals received treatment at the scene.

The occupation forces regularly conduct raids on Palestinian houses across the West Bank, claiming to search for 'wanted' Palestinians. These actions often lead to clashes with residents. The raids are executed without search warrants, under the military's wide-reaching powers.

Israeli military law grants army commanders complete executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, leaving Palestinians without a voice in how these powers are enacted.
