Discussing & approving implementation of service projects matrix in Capital Secretariat

Sana'a - Saba : A meeting of the administrative body of the Local Council and the Tenders Committee in the Capital Secretariat, chaired by Secretary-General Amin Jumaan, discussed the matrix of projects submitted by the Works Sector and the Community Initiatives Projects Department. The meeting, which included the heads of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqib, Planning and Development Committee, Sharaf Al-Hadi, Services Committee, Adel Al-Araqi, Undersecretary of the Works Sector, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, and Director of Community Initiatives Projects, Engineer Ahmed Al-Mashraqi, approved the studies, designs and technical specifications to implement the projects submitted by the studies preparation committee. The meeting approved the implementation of 30 water and sanitation projects worth two billion and 500 million riyals with community contributions, the completion of contracting procedures and the start of implementation when the community contribution is supplied according to the speci fied percentages. The meeting also approved the requests submitted by the community to implement a number of projects, and assigned the General Department of Community Initiatives Projects to prepare studies and designs for 15 projects in the field of water and sanitation worth one billion riyals. The meeting discussed issues related to community initiative projects in various directorates, issues and obstacles that hinder the progress of their implementation , the completion of delayed projects, and took appropriate measures regarding them. The meeting discussed the development of a mechanism to mobilize funds from funding , supporting parties and direct them to implement the main sewage transmission line projects in a number of directorates.
