Detentions in Tubas Climb to 162 Since Start of Israeli Forces’ Aggression

Tubas: The number of Palestinians detained since the start of the Israeli occupation forces' aggression on Tubas has risen to 162, according to a local official.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Director of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, reported that Israeli forces have detained 162 Palestinian citizens since yesterday. These detentions occurred after Israeli forces raided their homes and took them to field interrogation centers.

Bani Odeh stated that while some detainees have been released, others remain in custody. Field interrogations are reportedly being conducted inside homes seized by the occupation forces after forcing residents to evacuate. This situation is affecting areas within the Tubas governorate, including the towns of Tammun, Aqaba, and Tayasir.

He further noted that many of those released were left with their hands bound. During the home raids, Israeli occupation forces allegedly harassed and severely beat citizens and conducted field interrogations with a large number of them inside their homes.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression in the Tubas governorate for the second consecutive day. The region remains under a strict curfew, with the governorate's entrances closed and several main and secondary roads blocked with earth mounds.
