Havana: Cuban President Miguel Daz-Canel has expressed deep solidarity with Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a pediatrician at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis who tragically lost nine of her children when Israeli occupation forces bombed her family home in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Daz-Canel took to social media platform X to call on the international community to take immediate and decisive action to halt the ongoing Israeli genocide and war of extermination in Gaza.
Referring to an AI-generated photograph of Dr. Al-Najjar, who lost nine out of her ten children, the Cuban leader stated, 'This image reveals a painful and shocking truth that must awaken the conscience of all humanity.' He emphasized the dire plight of children killed and mothers enduring immense suffering in Gaza, questioning, 'How long will the perpetrators continue this genocide against the Palestinian people?'
The tragic incident occurred last Friday, when the Israeli army targeted Dr. Al-Najjar's home while she was at work at Nasser Medical Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the murder of nine of her children.
