Jerusalem Together - For the second day in a row, the occupation municipality carried out demolitions in the city of Jerusalem, under the pretext of "building without a permit." The occupation municipality vehicles, accompanied by special forces, stormed the town of Sur Baher, south of Jerusalem, and the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in the city, and closed the area targeted for demolition and prevented access to it. Ma'an News Agency correspondent learned that bulldozers demolished a "concrete floor" in the village of Sur Baher, and a "commercial facility/car showroom" in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood. Jerusalemites confirmed that the occupation municipality imposes conditions and requirements for applying for a building permit in Jerusalem, describing them as impossible conditions that cost huge sums of money, and in general, licenses are rejected for several reasons. The municipality also notified the Salaymeh family of the demolition of their home in Silwan, and the family began emptying the contents of th e house to avoid paying 'fines/demolition fees' to the municipality and the accompanying forces. Yesterday, bulldozers demolished two houses in Silwan, belonging to the Awda and Alyan families. Source: Maan News Agency
