The two referee committees for youngster Quran recitation and chant competitions on Monday declared names qualified for semifinals, after 21 competitors run for 3-day qualifiers race. Six youngsters were shortlisted for Quran competition; 3 from Sana'a City, 2 from Hodeida and 1 from Sana'a governorate, the committee said in a statement seen by Saba. As for chant race, seven competitors were shortlisted for the second round; 4 from Sana'a City and one from each Ibb, Dhamar and Amran governorates, the committee added. The semifinals of both Quran and chant races will be held at two night parties hosted by Old Sana'a University on Monday and Tuesday. Source: Yemen News Agency
