Jericho: Colonists continued on Monday the opening of a colonial road west of the Ras 'Ein al 'Auja Bedouin community, north of Jericho, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hasan Mleihat, head of the al-Baydar Association for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated that colonists continued today the construction of a colonial road aimed at linking illegal colonies in the area. The road is planned to stretch to connect the nearby colonies surrounding the community to another colonial outpost located on the neighboring hills.
Mleihat expressed concerns that this expansion threatens further colonization at the expense of Palestinian land, potentially impacting the local Bedouin community and their way of life.
