Colonists Establish New Outpost in Shallalat Al-Auja Village

Jericho: Colonists on Sunday set up a new colonial outpost in Shallalat al-Auja village, north of Jericho, according to a local official.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that colonists established the new outpost in the village on Sunday evening. They brought with them zinc sheets, caravans, and construction equipment and seized a residential caravan belonging to a displaced family.

Malihat highlighted that this move is part of an expansionist colonial policy aimed at displacing Palestinian residents and threatening stability in the area. He noted that colonists raid the village daily, harassing residents, grazing their livestock among homes, and cutting off their water supply, increasing pressure on the local population.

He emphasized that such actions are a violation of international law and a direct threat to the indigenous residents' rights to their land. Malihat called on the international community to take urgent action to halt these violations that exacerbate the suffering of Palestinian citizens.

In his statement, he also appealed to human rights and humanitarian organizations to support the village's residents and help them confront these challenges.
