Colonist-Owned Dog Attacks Palestinian Farmer, Injures Him


Bethlehem: A Palestinian shepherd was injured on Monday after being attacked by a colonist-owned dog in the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Kisan, Ahmed Ghazal, reported that colonists released a number of dogs on local resident Awad Abd Obayat, in his forties, while he was herding his sheep in the eastern area of the village. The dogs bit his body in various places.



Awad Abd Obayat was subsequently transferred by a Red Crescent ambulance to a hospital in Bethlehem for medical treatment.



It is noteworthy that the occupation and its settlers have recently escalated their attacks on shepherds, which have included shooting, killing a number of sheep, seizing part of them, and imposing heavy fines.
