York: The Church of England's General Synod gathered in York voted overwhelmingly in favor of standing in solidarity with Palestinian Christians. The decision was reached during the Synod's annual meeting, marking a significant stance by the church in support of the Christian community in Palestine.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the motion was passed with 253 Synod members voting in favor and 47 against, following a discussion on the Kairos Palestine documents I and II. The motion found support across all three houses of the Synod: the House of Bishops, House of Clergy, and House of Laity. In the House of Bishops, 25 bishops supported the motion, with none opposing and five abstentions. The House of Clergy saw 115 members in favor, 20 against, and 30 abstentions, while the House of Laity recorded 113 in favor, 27 against, and 35 abstentions.

The Synod engaged in a detailed discussion on the report titled 'A Moment of Truth: Faith in a Time of Genocide,' which was issued on November 14, 2025. This report and the subsequent debate played a critical role in shaping the motion and the Synod's decision to express solidarity with Palestinian Christians.
