Child Injured After Israeli Forces Deploy Sound Bomb Near Hebron

Hebron: A child was seriously injured on Monday after being hit in the head by a sound bomb fired by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Beit Awwa Municipality Director Mohammad Masalma reported that Israeli forces stormed the town, deploying sound bombs and tear gas at residents.

As the forces withdrew, they targeted Nazih Iyad Awad, a 15-year-old student from Beit Awwa Secondary School for Boys. The sound bomb struck Awad's head as he was leaving his home in Wadi Al-Simiya, resulting in critical injuries. He was taken to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron for urgent medical attention.

Additionally, a woman affected by tear gas inhalation was transferred to Dura Governmental Hospital for treatment.
