Ceremony in Sana’a to issue Archaeological Restoration and Conservation Guide

The Military Museum in the capital, Sana'a, witnessed on Tuesday the ceremony of issuing the first archaeological restoration and maintenance guide prepared by the Hudhud Center for Archaeological Studies as the first scientific guide in the field of restoration and maintenance. At the ceremony, the Head of the Education, Culture and Media Sector, Hassan Al-Saadi, pointed out the importance of the guide in highlighting the importance of preserving cultural heritage, civilizational heritage and Yemeni identity, as well as providing scientific and thoughtful guidance for the restoration and maintenance of Yemeni antiquities. He stressed the interest of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in antiquities because of their importance in life and in the nation's connection with its symbols and history within the progressive project witnessed by Yemen. "History provides us with experiences and knowledge, and accumulates experiences in life and in all lifestyles, as well as a huge balance of values, morals and high meanings that truly constitute a treasure for man and a huge wealth," he said. "Yemen has accumulated experience in lifestyles and knowledge, and this vast and multiple cultural heritage in all fields offers us lessons and various lessons and has been a pioneer in all stages of history in the movement of life in providing many experiences, values and knowledge," he said. Al-Saadi pointed out that the first flights to the Levant were from Yemen, and it is not strange that in light of what the nation is experiencing during the current stage in the face of the US-Zionist aggression on Gaza, noting that the people of Yemen are the first to defend Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif. He stated that the guide has become a necessity and an urgent requirement to control the restoration process in various types of antiquities, from buildings to manuscripts that abound in the country, praising the efforts of the Hudhud Center for Archaeological Studies and its experts, specialists, technical a nd administrative staff, as well as all those who contributed to the issuance of this professional guide.
