Al-Birr and Al-Ihsan Campaign of Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) and the UK Salam Charity implemented a humanitarian charity campaign in the governorates of Amman, Zarqa, Jerash and Irbid. According to a JOHUD statement on Tuesday, the campaign provided humanitarian aid in the form of food parcels, school bags and personal hygiene supplies to Jordanian and refugee families in the poorest communities in the targeted areas. The statement added that the effort also sponsored orphans and supported "pioneering" projects that included productive kitchens and grocery stores. The campaign was implemented within the framework of joint cooperation to enhance food security for underpriviliged households, improve education, community structure and rehabilitation, provide support and health care, improve livelihoods and sponsor poor families. In total, the statement announced the campaign targeted 489 individuals and households in the targeted communities of Jordanians and Syrian refugees, whil e over 700 people benefited indirectly.
