Cabinet condemns Israeli Knesset’s law banning UNRWA operations as violation of international system

The Palestinian Cabinet condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of a law banning the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), describing it as a violation of the entire international system.

During its weekly meeting in Ramallah, the Cabinet warned the global community about the dangers posed by Israel’s plans to target UNRWA and jeopardize its ability to provide crucial services to Palestinian refugees.

The Cabinet urged the international community to take immediate action to pressure Israel to reverse its unlawful measures, warning that such actions would worsen the plight of Palestinians in refugee camps and other displacement areas.

Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, emphasized the need for continued international efforts to halt the occupation’s aggression and to press for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Cabinet also officially endorsed the National Cross-Sectoral Strategic Initiative aimed at e
nhancing governance and combating corruption from 2025 to 2030.

The Cabinet said it has allocated an emergency support budget for the national olive-picking campaign aimed at assisting farmers in areas of conflict and behind the Israeli separation barrier in light of challenges posed by occupation and restricted access to their lands.
