Broadcasting Corporation Mourns Employee Marwan Harzallah’s Death in Israeli Prison

Nablus: The Palestinian Public Broadcasting Corporation mourned the death of detainee and employee Marwan Fathi Harzallah from Nablus, who died on Saturday in Megiddo prison under Israeli detention. Harzallah had been detained since January 8, 2026.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the corporation stated that Harzallah, who worked at its office in Nablus, was a model of dedication and professionalism, known for his good character and strong national commitment.

The corporation expressed deep sorrow over his death, highlighting it as part of a series of ongoing violations against Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, including harsh detention conditions and deliberate medical neglect in violation of international laws and conventions.

The corporation held Israeli authorities fully responsible for Harzallah's death and called on international human rights and humanitarian organizations to take urgent action to halt such crimes, protect detainees, and ensure their human rights.

It affirmed its continued commitment to addressing the suffering of detainees and amplifying their voices globally in recognition of their sacrifices and resilience.

The corporation extended sincere condolences to Harzallah's family, colleagues, Palestinian media workers, and the Palestinian people, praying for mercy and paradise for the deceased.
