Baghdad , British Foreign Secretary David Lammy expressed his "concern over the escalating tension in the region," coinciding with London's call for its citizens to leave Lebanon. During his phone call with Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Lammy welcomed "the statement of the Lebanese authorities calling for an end to the violence," stressing that "the expansion of the conflict in the region is not in anyone's interest;" calling for "resolving conflicts peacefully and through the implementation of relevant international resolutions."
