La Paz: Bolivia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday condemned the Israeli attack on the aid vessel heading towards Gaza in the early hours of Monday morning. The Ministry stated that these Israeli actions represent a significant violation of international law, alongside breaching the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry emphasized that this attack adds to a growing list of systematic actions by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. The Ministry highlighted the aggressive pattern of these actions, which are part of the broader collective siege and punishment of the Palestinian civilian population. This ongoing aggression by Israel has reportedly resulted in the deaths of 54,981 individuals, predominantly women and children, and injuries to 126,920 others.
The Ministry underscored the urgent need for the immediate lifting of the illegal siege on Gaza. It also called for the release of the detained crew members and activists, and the cessation of all forms of violence and military aggression against the Palestinian population.
Furthermore, the Ministry urged the United Nations to take immediate and effective measures to ensure the protection of the Palestinian people and uphold international humanitarian law.
