Baghdad: The prices of 'heavy and medium' Basra crude oil rose today, Monday, despite the decline in global oil prices. Basra Heavy crude prices rose 49 cents to reach $82.71, and Basra medium crude prices also rose 49 cents to reach $85.56. Global oil prices fell, affected by the rise of the dollar, after renewed fears that high interest rates would continue for a longer period and the lack of risk appetite among investors.
