Sydney - Ma'an - Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest has donated $10 million to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Anadolu Agency reported. The agency quoted a statement issued by Forrest's non-governmental organization, Mindero, as saying that Forrest will donate $10 million to the World Central Kitchen and the United Nations World Food Program. "Mendero will not stand idly by while children die of hunger," the organization added. Last June, the Australian billionaire proposed establishing a 'safe gate system' on the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, through which 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid could be delivered to the Palestinians daily by 130 trucks crossing through three gates. Billionaire Forrest has previously pledged more than $6 million in financial aid to the Gaza Strip. Source: Maan News Agency
