Arrest of the killer of a member of the Dhi Qar police and a drug dealer in Maysan

The Dhi Qar Police Command announced the arrest of the killer of a police member who was honored with martyrdom while performing a security duty during the intervention to break up a quarrel in Sayed Dakhil District. The Police Command said, "The accused confessed to committing the crime attributed to him and his statements were recorded as a judicial confession and a legal evidence examination was conducted for him and it came in line with his confessions, as the investigating judge decided to detain him based on Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code." In a related context, the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Maysan Governorate announced the arrest of an important drug dealer in his possession of (2) kilograms of narcotic substances.
