A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated: The detachments of the Eighth Brigade affiliated with the Energy Police arrested an accused who stole electrical cables from inside the southern Rumaila oil field in Basra Governorate, as he tried to escape from one of the checkpoints, and he was pursued and arrested, and the stolen goods were seized and he was detained, and the stolen materials were returned to the management of the above oil field, and the vehicle was seized in preparation for organizing the case papers and presenting them to the competent judiciary to receive his just punishment.
