Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the treacherous Israeli attacks against Lebanon's communication systems, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries. In a statement on Tuesday, the Arab League warned of the consequences of this dangerous escalation against Lebanon and its people, which coincides with reckless statements that continue to be made by Israeli leaders who want to expand the scope of the war on the South Lebanon front, which threatens to seriously explode the regional situation. Aboul Gheit expressed full solidarity with the people and government of Lebanon against this blatant attack on its sovereignty and security. The Arab League Secretary-General also stressed that the Security Council must fulfill its responsibilities in against Israel's continuous and reckless threats to peace and security in the region.
