The Arab League on Wednesday affirmed the necessity of spreading awareness against drugs' perils at the social, economic and security levels. Ambassador Haifa' Abu Ghazala, the assistant secretary general for social affairs, emphasized the necessity that cultural and media organizations partake in such a campaign to "create an environment free of drugs." Abu Ghazala, speaking in a statement marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, said the global narcotics problem is a multi-dimension challenge that affects the lives of millions of people throughout the world.
