The General Federation of Arab Journalists on Saturday held a meeting to discuss a host of issues namely means of supporting the Palestinian people including the journalists in the war-ravaged regions of the occupied territories. Adnan Al-Rashed, the deputy chair of the federation and Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Journalists Association, said in remarks to KUNA that the situation in Gaza was debated as a main topic, in addition to means of providing moral and material backing for the Palestinian brothers namely the journalists. The Palestinians have so far sacrificed 40,000 martyrs including 150 journalists, in addition to tens of thousands of injured and the homeless, amid a pulverized infrastructure, Al-Rashed affirmed. The participants in the meeting also discussed the conditions of the press corps in Sudan and Yemen. Source: Kuwait News Agency
