The Arab Potash Company (APC) announced that it had exported the largest shipment of potash to Europe in its history, as the MV Draftvader was loaded with 54,800 tons to the Netherlands and Belgium. APC Chairman, Shehadah Abu Hdaib, expressed his pride in this move, which is the result of the company's numerous efforts and accomplishments to expand and grow by investing in research and innovation, developing new products and varieties, and entering non-traditional markets, stressing that APC is taking steady and deliberate steps to expand the reach of its diverse and high-quality products to various international markets, as part of its growth and return maximization strategies, which include product diversification and positioning in markets with high price returns. Abu Hdaib added that during the past five years, APC has implemented several strategies and capital projects that have helped it enhance its competitiveness among international companies operating in the fertilizer sector and create new markets for its products. According to Abu Hdaib, APC's positioning in the European market is crucial because it achieves a balance and distribution of the company's sales on a global scale, reducing the risks to which the company and the global potash market are exposed under the current geopolitical conditions, whether in the Black Sea or the Middle East. He stated that the traditional markets in which APC was active in earlier decades are now experiencing significant price competition as a result of the global potash trade's changing routes, which supported APC's direction to new markets and areas, as well as its positioning within them. Abu Hdaib explained that the rise in APC's exports to the European market increased the volume of Jordanian exports and had a positive impact on the trade balance. Source: Jordan News Agency
