European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday that any additional Israeli operations in Lebanon must be avoided. "Lebanon's sovereignty must be guaranteed, and any additional military intervention would significantly aggravate the situation and must therefore be avoided," Borrell said following a virtual meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers.
