The Ministry of Interior announced today, Friday, the arrest of an accused who opened fire at one of its patrols in Baghdad. The Ministry said in a statement, "The patrols of the Rusafa Rescue Directorate affiliated with the Baghdad Rusafa Police Command arrested an accused for shooting at a rescue patrol." It explained that "this came during the patrol's roaming within the municipalities area, where a person in a suspicious position riding a motorcycle was suspected," explaining that "when trying to stop him, he fired at the patrol and fled, so he was chased and arrested and the weapon he had in his possession, a pistol, was seized."
