The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a drug dealer and seized in his possession crystal narcotic substances and drug paraphernalia in Dhi Qar Governorate. The Interior Ministry's spokesman for the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement: 'In a security operation and according to accurate intelligence information, the General Directorate for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs arrested a drug dealer and seized in his possession (1 kilogram) of crystal narcotic substances and tools for abuse.' He added: "The arrest operation in Dhi Qar Governorate was carried out under the supervision of the Dhi Qar anti drug director. The investigative papers related to the accused were presented to the investigating judge and he decided to arrest him in accordance with Article 28 of the Anti-Narcotics Law and to send the materials seized in his possession to the competent authority."
