Amran courts resolve over 9,000 cases in Judicial Year 1445 AH

Courts in Amran province has concluded 9,866 cases during the judicial year 1445 AH, out of a total of 16,105 cases, including those carried over from the previous year, 1444 AH. A report from Amran province court of Appeal, obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), revealed that the court of appeal resolved 2,377 cases out of 4,259 cases received and carried over from prior years. The primary courts in the province finalized 7,489 cases out of 11,846 cases received and carried over during the same period. The report detailed the handling of various case types: 3,593 criminal cases, with 1,853 resolved and 1,740 deferred to the current year; 2,081 personal cases, with 1,208 adjudicated and 870 carried forward; and 6,163 civil cases, with 3,431 resolved and 2,724 deferred. In executive matters, 1,868 cases were handled, with 1,036 concluded and 831 carried forward. Additionally, 2,400 other cases were processed, with 2,327 resolved and 53 remaining pending. Judge Abdulkarim al-Shami, head of the Court of Appeal in Amran, emphasized the critical role of the electronic judicial system in tracking case progress, preserving records, and ensuring transparency. Al-Shami noted that the system allows for immediate registration of cases within the electronic network, assigning each a unique serial number that tracks its progress until a final, enforceable judgment is issued. Judge al-Shami also highlighted the judicial authority's ongoing efforts to uphold justice, fairness, and prompt case resolution.
