New York - Ma'an - The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, held his first official meeting with the new President of the General Assembly, Philomon Yang, at his headquarters in the United Nations, at his request. On behalf of Palestine and its leadership, Ambassador Mansour congratulated Yang on his presidency of the 79th session of the General Assembly. The arrangements for the tenth emergency resumed session of the General Assembly were discussed regarding the draft resolution submitted by the State of Palestine regarding the historic advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice. In turn, Yang congratulated the State of Palestine on its new position among the member states according to the alphabetical order, and it was agreed to communicate and coordinate regarding the work of the General Assembly throughout the year during the 79th session.
