Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune issued a Presidential Decree on Saturday calling on eligible voters to partake in early presidential elections on September 7. The Algerian Presidency said in a statement that the president signed the decree that calls upon the election commission to hold the early polls on September 7. The decree stipulates revision of the electoral lists during the period between June 12 and June 27. Meanwhile, the independent election authority said in a statement that registration of the nominees had begun. Tebboune had declared last March that he intended to shorten his mandate, originally due to end in December. Source: Kuwait News Agency
