Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed the responsibility of citizens and state agencies in maintaining the sustainability of health infrastructure. A statement from the Prime Minister's Office stated that Al-Sudani inaugurated today, Sunday, the second phase of the rehabilitation of the Central Children's Teaching Hospital in the capital, Baghdad. Al-Sudani toured the departments and halls that underwent rehabilitation, and was briefed on the most prominent services provided in them, and the updated medical devices and supplies, in order to ensure the improvement of the reality of the service provided to citizens, reiterating that the government places the issue of health services at the forefront of goals and among the priorities of services. Al-Sudani explained, in his conversation with the medical and health teams working in the hospital, that the completion of the second phase of rehabilitation stems from the keenness to fulfill the promises to complete the health infrastructure, rehabilitate it and raise the level of service provided, stressing that maintaining the sustainability of service and health facilities is a shared responsibility between the citizen and the service agencies alike. It is worth noting that the second phase included the rehabilitation of departments; surgery, blood diseases and (4) operating rooms, radiology units, CT scans, MRI, drug store, internal pharmacy, blood bank, administrative wing and main entrance. This phase also included the rehabilitation of more than 90 rooms in the hospital, rehabilitating the sewage, water and electricity systems, providing the hospital with modern and advanced systems for monitoring and extinguishing fires, equipping the halls with modern beds and completing the furniture and supporting medical devices, awaiting the launch of the third phase, so that the rehabilitation covers the entire hospital Source: National Iraqi News Agency
