Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed the completion of the analysis of the bids of companies applying for the school construction project (IDOPA). A statement by his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired today the periodic meeting of the Board of Directors of the Iraq Development Fund, where a number of files and topics included in the fund's projects were discussed. He explained: "The meeting discussed the procedures for launching the (IDOPA) project to build schools in Baghdad and the governorates by the private sector, in terms of securing financing and payment mechanisms, and other technical aspects, in preparation for launching the project that includes the construction of modern school buildings according to the best specifications, and within the system of continuous construction and maintenance." The statement indicated that the meeting also discussed the initial draft of the internal regulations that regulate the work of the fund, as Al-Sudani stressed th e need to adopt a non-traditional internal regulations, which would enable the preservation of the philosophy of establishing the Iraq Development Fund, its subsidiary funds, and the directions of the projects it adopts, and to adopt the governance and human resources guide within the relevant system. Al-Sudani directed the formation of a committee from the departments of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, to undertake the process of opening and analyzing the offers submitted by private sector companies to build schools, as well as reviewing and auditing contracts concluded with investors in school building projects, and stating their compliance with the approved specifications and conditions.
