Al-Quds University is the first among Palestinian universities according to the international “RUR” classification

Jerusalem - Ma'an - Al-Quds University ranked first in Palestine and 840th globally according to the Round University Ranking (RUR), which provides a comprehensive view of the academic and research performance of universities around the world, and is based on 20 different indicators covering various aspects such as the quality of education, scientific research, international diversity, and financial sustainability. The RUR classification relied on the data used in the evaluation by the global agency Clarivate Analytics, as Al-Quds University was included in most of the academic subject classifications within the RUR 2024 classification, including the field of medical sciences, where it ranked 574th globally, which enhances its position as one of the leading academic institutions in this vital specialty. The President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Imad Abu Kishk, stressed that the university's entry into this classification comes as a result of its continuous efforts to develop the educational environment and enhance research production among its students and academics in line with international standards and measures, as the university's progress in international classifications reflects its tireless efforts to achieve academic excellence and enhance its position at the international and global levels. Prof. Abu Kishk added that these successive achievements of the university confirm its role as one of the leading academic institutions in Palestine and contributing to raising the level of higher education in the region as a whole, as the university continues to work to achieve more progress and leadership in a way that meets the needs of the international scientific community and develops its students and researchers. RUR is a global university ranking system launched by the Russian RUR Ranking Agency in 2010. It evaluates the effectiveness of 700 leading world universities based on 20 indicators distributed over 4 main areas: education, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.
