Federal police forces arrested 3 suspects, and seized a BKC weapon and ammunition in their possession, after a chase in Baghdad. The Federal Police Command stated in a statement that: "After hearing gunshots, a mechanized patrol from the Federal Police headed to the place in Al-Hussainiya area, northeast of Baghdad, where the force carrying out the duty was able to impose a security cordon during which it was able to arrest 3 suspects after a chase between the alleys." It added: "A BKC machine gun was seized in the possession of the suspects, along with an ammunition belt containing 84 bullets, and Kalashnikov rifle bullets, and they were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities."
