A Wanted Man Arrested On Charges Of “Terrorism” In Martyrs’ Checkpoints, North of Hilla

Today, Saturday, the Babylon Police Command announced the arrest of a wanted man on charges of "terrorism", according to Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, in the checkpoint of the martyrs (formerly Antiquities), north of the city of Hilla.

Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini, Media Director of Babylon Police, said, "The arrest process took place through the efforts of the joint security detachments operating in the checkpoint in inspecting and checking the names of the arrivals to the governorate and those passing through it from other governorates with the security computers inside the checkpoint, stressing that the necessary measures were taken against the accused in preparation for handing him over to concerned authorities.

He added that there is an intensification of security efforts within the main checkpoints of the governorate to enhance security measures.
