The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security overthrew a terrorist element and arrested three drug dealers in Baghdad, Dhi Qar, and Diwaniyah. The Directorate stated in a statement: 'The detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate overthrew a terrorist element in Abu Ghraib district, an arrest warrant issued against him in accordance with the provisions of Article (1/4) Terrorism, and he was handed over to the requesting party.' It added: 'Detachments of Diwaniyah Intelligence and Security Directorate arrested two pharmacy owners on charges of trafficking in narcotic pills, and they were referred to the judiciary.' It continued: 'The detachments of Dhi Qar Intelligence and Security Directorate arrested one of the drug dealers in Souq Al-Shuyoukh district, and an arrest warrant was issued against him in accordance with the provisions of Article (28) Narcotics.'
