A sudden security alert between Diyala and Salah Al-Din

A security source announced a sudden alert of the security forces between Diyala and Salah al-Din.

The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that Al-Mundhiriya border crossing, northeast of Baquba, witnessed the entry of more than 6,000 Iranian pilgrims, and they headed towards Samarra via the Sindiyah bridge in Al- Khalis district, north of Baquba, before heading to Karbala to perform the Arbaeen visit ceremonies.

He added that the entry of Iranian visitors to Samarra prompted the security forces to make an emergency security alert to secure the visitors’ passage ways. Pointing out that the people in the nearby areas went out to support the visitors through service processions in light of the increasing number of Iranian visitors.
