A Kidnapped Girl Freed, Her Kidnapper Arrested In Central Baghdad
The Federal Police forces freed a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused kidnapper in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement: “A force from the Third Brigade, the First Division, Federal Police, in conjunction with the intelligence detachments of the Second Regiment, arrested an accused person who had kidnapped a girl, and the kidnapped girl, who was 14 years old, was freed.”
It added, “The arrest came after information was received from a citizen about a kidnapping in (Al-Bataween) area, in the center of the capital, Baghdad.”
The ministry continued: “The area was cordoned off, temporary checkpoints and ambushes were set up, and his movements were monitored through surveillance cameras, which resulted in the arrest of the kidnapper.”
