A Govt Source: Mandali Crossing Is Not Ready For The Entry Of Iranian Pilgrims Due To Lack Of Infrastructure And Services

A government source confirmed that the Mandali border crossing, east of Diyala, is not ready for the entry of Iranian Pilgrims due to the lack of infrastructure.

The source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the Mandali border crossing with Iran, east of Diyala, is limited to the entry of logistical support convoys and is not ready for the entry of Iranian Pilgrims to perform the Arbaeen visit ceremonies due to the lack of infrastructure and services.

He added that the Iraqi authorities and the government of Diyala will not announce any steps to open the port for Pilgrims
